AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE
In February 2017, over two sessions, LVR ran a seminar as part of the Practical Archaeology Summer Intensive School at the University of Melbourne. Students were introduced to the evolution and applications of VR technologies in the field of archaeology, were instructed inthe foundations of 3D modelling, and had the opportunity to experience LVR material firsthand with Google Cardboards. The students were then able to reflect on the experience in tutorial-style discussions. The University of Melbourne feels that the sessions were a resounding success and plans to implement more in the years to come.
